Innovative Pedagogy is an educational materials development company grounded in the belief that children can learn almost anything when books and instructions are fun. And what could be more fun than games or engaging, interest-arousing materials?

We have incorporated this philosophy into our learning materials through elements of games and storytelling.

It is vitally important for children to be exposed to and involved in the latest technologies that are a part of their current and future lives. However, at Innovative Pedagogy we believe that young people should also learn to use “fundamentals” such as handwriting, sketching, and coloring to express their thoughts and emotions.

The Innovative Pedagogy approach adheres to the philosophy that a child can learn almost anything if the targeted knowledge or ability is “broken down” into bite-sized pieces that the learner can digest one at a time.

Fun - Fun - Fun

To “grease the wheels” of instruction for all children, Innovative Pedagogy promotes comics (colorful, humorous pictures and tales) and simple, often homemade, games in the classroom or instructional setting. Children love comics and games, and it makes sense to harness them to promote learning.

Cursive Handwriting Book

The first offering from Innovative Pedagogy is a user-friendly book titled Make it Fun! Cursive Handwriting Program. Research indicates that the ability to write in cursive benefits students by:

  • Providing a flow of thought as well as a flow of words
  • Helping the student focus on content
  • Getting the entire brain working
  • Assisting in the retention of more information
  • Helping to improve motor skills, particularly eye-hand coordination
  • Improving spelling ability

    • Sadly, cursive handwriting is not taught in many schools today, and as it becomes a dying art, its many advantages are lost. One result is that it is not uncommon for young people to be unable to sign their names when opening a bank account or signing a letter!

    The Make it Fun! Cursive Handwriting Program addresses this disturbing trend by offering a fun story associated with each capital and small letter of the cursive alphabet.

    What an advantage a student will have today if they can print, type on a keyboard and write and understand cursive letters!
